Baking Dublin's favourite pizza since 1984

The Independent Pizza Company opened in the summer of 1984 and 2020 marks 36 years trading in Drumcondra.

We are an Irish owned business and all our ingredients are bought in fresh and prepared in our own kitchens. We use Irish suppliers wherever possible, our pepperoni is produced in Dundalk, our mozzarella is from Bandon in Cork and our Irish chicken is supplied by Kelly Brothers Butchers in Crumlin who have supplied us since day one!


 Our pizza style is American – light crisp bases with both traditional and contemporary topping combinations. 

We also have several non-pizza options including chicken wings, main course salads, our own lasagna, roasted Irish half-chicken and more.

New! We've a new addition to our non-pizza options with our Fried Buttermilk Chicken Burger served with a Smokey Cheese Sauce and French Fries - it's delicious if we say so ourselves! :-))

Vegan Mozzarella Cheese is also a new option on our pizzas for those who would prefer this.


We have seating for fifty and we also offer a take-away service and delivery can be accessed via Deliveroo.

Unfortunately under lockdown restrictions it's back to takeaway service only.  

The good news is that we have opened a weekend marketplace with freshly baked pastries and sourdough breads from Tartine Bakery, take-away Java Republic Coffee and lots of other goodies to treat yourself with! 

We are also offering a carefully selected range of wines and craft beers at off-licence pricing.

The marketplace is open from 10.30am on Saturday and Sunday with the full food menu then available from 12 Noon.

During the earlier part of the week opening hours are Wednesday to Friday from 4pm with last orders at 9pm

Our signature pizzas are baked in our Woodstone pizza oven which was imported for us from Washington State in the USA. 

These pizza ovens are regarded as the best in the world and we believe help us create outstanding pizza bases. 

Our pizza dough is freshly made every day, on the premises, using just five ingredients:

Flour, water, yeast and small amounts of salt and sugar.





Opening Hours:

We've temporarily reduced our opening hours as follows:

Saturday & Sunday:  Open from 10.30am for Coffee, Freshly Baked Pastries and Sourdough Breads. 

Full menu available from 12 Noon.


Wednesday - Friday: 16:00 to 21.00 hours (last orders)

Closed Mondays & Tuesdays
